Libyan International Medical University (LIMU), delegation participated the kick-off meeting of the WHEEL (Network for the Modernization of the Higher Education Sector in Libya) project, together with the delegations of eleven other Libyan universities as well as the delegations of the Spanish University of Alicante and the Italian University of Genoa.
The kick-off meeting was held in Genoa, Italy, from 8th to 11th of April 2019 under the sponsorship of Genoa University. The delegation of the LIMU included the President, Provost for Academic Affairs, Provost for Public Affairs and Head of Academic Relations & International Cooperation Office at LIMU.
The kick-off meeting discussed the challenges facing the higher education sector in Libya in order to diagnose the Libyan situation and to draft an updated evidence-based diagnosis document about the higher education situation in Libya. It is worth mentioning that the Libyan Universities participating in the WHEEL project are: Al-Asmarya University, Bani-Waleed University, Bright-Star University, Libyan International Medical University, Misurata University, Omar Al-Mokhtar University, Sebha University, Sirte University, University of Benghazi and Elmergib University.
