The Union of Euro-Mediterranean Universities met with the Libyan universities participating in the Libya Restart project on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. The meeting was held in the presence of the European Union Ambassador to Libya, the French Ambassador to Libya, Head of the European Parliament Delegation for the Affairs of the Arab Maghreb Countries, President of the Union of Euro-Mediterranean Universities, General Director of the Union Euro-Mediterranean Universities, General Director of Universities at the Libyan Ministry of Education, Director of the Erasmus Office in Libya, Director of the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational Institutions in Libya, as well as representatives of the Libyan Ministry of Education.
During the meeting, the recommendations present in the report of the Euro-Mediterranean Universities Union on higher education in Libya were discussed and the possibility of developing action plans for these recommendations were considered.
It is worth noting that the Libyan International Medical University is a member of the Euro-Mediterranean Universities Union, of which Libya is the second largest member of the Union in terms of the number of members participating in it.
