The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, as well as the First Assistant to the Minister and Head of the Cultural Relations and Missions Department in the Ministry, Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Arab Republic of Egypt, on 1^st April 2017, received a delegation from the Libyan International Medical University, consisting of the Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Mustafa Elfakhry and Director of Academic Relations and International Cooperation; Dr. Salma Bukhatwa. The minister and his assistant welcomed the joint cooperation between the institutions of higher education in the two countries in the field of higher education and scientific research.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the delegation of the Libyan International Medical University met with Dr. Mohamed Qenawi; President of Mansoura University and Dr. Khalid Ismail Hamza; President of Fayoum University, who all stressed on the possibility of concluding joint cooperation agreements with the LIMU to achieve the interests and objectives of the two parties and deepen the bonds of friendship between the Egyptian and Libyan peoples.
